Kick Start was a popular series on BBC television inspired by motorcycle trials riding, a sport akin to horse show jumping, but on motorbikes. The programme was first aired in August 1979 and ran until 1988. The programme was devised by Nick Brittan and produced by BBC Pebble Mill producer Derek Smith, who also created Top Gear. The idea for Kick Start originated when the 1978 Lombard RAC Rally organiser, Nick Brittan, realised that top trials motorcyclists, competing over a hazardous track and obstacles, might make exciting television Run against the clock, the show illustrated some of the skills needed in normal trials riding. In the Kick Start format, the riders went over awesome obstacles such as piles of logs, oil drums, rockeries, water troughs, up a wall, up steep banking or a cliff-face and over a car. Postbus X is a childrens series, set in the editorial office of "De Ravenburgse Post", owned by eccentric Jonathan Hiks, later succeeded by his daughter Ilse Hiks. The Ravenburgse Post is in fact a cover for the organization Mailbox X '. People with problems can write a letter to Postbus X (PO Box X, actually 10) Ravenburg and then possibly helped. The team includes Jonathan Hiks (and later Ilse Hiks), Bodo and later Waldo of "Het Melkhuisje" (a café in the same building), Pol and Jessie. The meetings always go by at Het Melkhuisje, which is connected with the Office of Hiks with a hidden elevator . The rest of the editorial staff doesn't know anything of the activities of Postbus X, which sometimes leads to difficulties, especially when it comes to the clumsy and lazy worker 'De Vergulden Veder' Felix Haentjes, who is however, in favor of state editor Miss Pluym.

The drama tells the story of average workers, who silently work hard on each one’s own task. They finally pull together as a team to fight through a difficult and unfair situation. Lee Soo-In has the kind of temperament where he has to do the right thing no matter what. After his discharge from the military, he finds work at a large retail market. One day, his boss orders him to fire temporary employees at the store. Lee Soo-In refuses to do so and decides to join the labor union. He and the temporary employees struggle against unfair dismissals. The drama is based on a webtoon of the same name, which is in turn inspired by real-life events that transpired in 2002 when union workers were unfairly fired from large supermarket chain Carrefour, and fought back.
