In this sequel to Les Bronzes (1978) summer has passed, but that doesn't mean the fun has to end for Bernard, Nathalie, Gigi, Jerome, Popeye, Jean-Claude, and Christiane.

Det hela börjar när riddaren Godfrey får ett helt grevskap med tillhörande underskön grevinna av Kungen Louis VI, som tack för att ha räddat dennes liv. Året är alltså 1123, och ännu är allt någorlunda frid och fröjd. Tyvärr råkar Godfrey skjuta sin nye svärfar, vilket han misstar för en björn, med sitt armborst. Nu är naturligtvis goda råd dyra, eller det kokta fläsket stekt. Godfrey får en snille blixt och låter sin senile trollkarl blanda till en dryck som skall föra honom tillbaka i tiden för att rätta till misstaget. Han vaknar istället upp år 1993 med sin ständige vapendragare Jacquoille, och förvirringen är ett faktum.

Den åttaåriga pojken Nicolas är nöjd med sin tillvaro. Han har sina föräldrar, som älskar honom, och sina kompisar, ja, på det hela taget vill han inte ändra på något. Men så en dag råkar han höra sina föräldrar prata... han ska få en lillebror! Ve och fasa, de kommer inte älska honom längre och han kommer lämnas till sitt öde i en skog nånstans!

En riddare och hans vapendragare plågas av en häxa. För att reparera skadorna orsakade av henne, anlitar de en trollkarls tjänster.
